Boots Botanics Review

Hey!
So Boots have recently given their Botanics range a makeover. The packaging has all changed, and a whole host of new products have emerged. Boots Botanics is a brand that is focused on using natural organic ingredients in skincare products. In fact, the products are developed with Kew Royal Botanic Gardens.
So, Boots have introduced all of these new products as lower introductory prices, so I thought I'd buy a few bits to try out whilst they're still on offer.
I bought the Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm, Rosewater Toning Spritz and the All Bright Hydrating Day Cream.
The Rosewater Toning Spritz was £3.33, and will be £4.99 after the offer. This toner claims to 'Enliven your senses and refresh your skin'. The only other toners I've really used is Tea Tree water from Lush, which is in a similar spray bottle. I've been using this a lot, after cleansing and I am really enjoying it. It does feel lovely on your skin and you get 150ml, which for the price you pay is amazing.
The Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm was the product I was most excited to try as I've never used a hot cloth cleanser. This was out of stock in several Boots stores that I've been into, and when I picked this one up it was the last one, so I can tell it's pretty popular. The packaging says that the product 'draws out impurities and cleanses and smoothes'. I love this. I've been using it morning and evening since I bought it, after using a clearasil face wash to get my skin extra clean. It smells natural, and it has a vaseline-type consistency, and after I've massaged it over my face it looks like I have just smeared petroleum jelly over my face, but it feels lovely on the skin. The packaging says to soak the muslin cloth (which is provided in the box) in hot/warm water and use it as a warm compress over the face to draw out impurities. I do this several times and then polish the remaining balm off with the cloth. The box also says to then soak the cloth in cold water and put it over your face to close your pores, but I like to skip this step and just spritz on the Rosewater toner instead. I love this product, every time I use it I feel like I'm giving myself a mini-facial and my skin feels lovely after using it. This is £5.99 at the moment, and will be priced at £8.99, so if I were you I'd go and buy whilst it's still so cheap! :)

This day cream claims to hydrate the skin for 24hours. It has SPF of 15 in it, which is great, as I never ever buy a day cream/moisturiser unless it has SPF in it. It has brighening Hibiscus flower, which is brightening on the skin as it has naturally occuring AHA's in it which act as gentle exfoliators to smooth and brighten the skin. I have used this twice now and I like it. The cream is a pinky colour, and it smells nice, I don't know if that's the Hibiscus flower in it. I can't say I've noticed a massive difference on the skin brightening, but I do think that it is very good for keeping my skin hydrated, as my skin doesn't feel nearly as dry as it usually does hours after using moisturiser. This is £3.33 at the moment, and will be £4.99. There is also a matching Night cream too, which I think I may buy as I do like this cream.

Maybelline Goodies!

Hi! Sorry it's been like a month since I posted... :/
So, Maybelline is 3 for 2 in Superdrug and Boots at the moment, so I saw this as a great chance to try the colour tattoo cream eyeshadows I've heard SO many good things about! This is what I got:
So I got the Dream Fresh BB cream in light, the Colour Tattoo in Turquoise Forever, and the Colour Sensational Lip Tint Pen in Wink of Pink.

I have used the BB cream and I think that as BB creams go, it's pretty standard. It has SPF of 30 which is brill, and it's got the highest SPF of all of my BB creams. The coverage is okay, and it feels good on my skin. As it only comes in three shades, the colour is a little dark for my skin but that's not a massive problem when I have tan on. Overall, an okay BB cream, nothing to write home about.
This is the first lip tint I've used and I am not impressed. I don't know if I just bought a bad pen or if it had been opened or used or dried up, but the colour payoff is terrible and I feel like I have to literally colour in my lips vigourously to get any colour. It does last a while once it's on my lips, but I am very disappointed with this product.

To end this post on a high note, I LOVE this product. I have used this several times since I got it and the colour is amazing, and it does last for ages. I defiantely want to get more of these, I have my eye on the purple one.

Thankyou for reading! Please comment below, do you own any of these products?

Recent Purchases

Hello lovelies! Sorry it's been a while since I last posted, been busy with exams, but they are all over now!
So, what's new is I quit my job, so soon I'm going to be very skint. So even though it's probably not sensible at all, I've been spending a little bit recently, more than usual anyway! Here are just a few of my recent purchases!
This I am extra excited about. A few weeks ago I was waiting for a friend and had some time to kill, so I went into Debenhams and had a test of some of the perfumes. I remember really liking this one. Today when I was browsing the shops, I popped into the Perfume Shop and had a look in the 'bargain box', and I was so excited to see this in there for £9.99. It's the Cacharel 'Scarlett' perfume, a 50ml bottle, which is amazing for the price. It smells lovely, quite floral and sweet, and I love the art deco style bottle.

This skirt is another of my favorite bargains. I love love LOVE bodycon skirts, and primark has had some really lovely ones, (I recently realised that I own every pattern and colour that primark sell...) And I saw this one was reduced to £2. I love the pattern on it!
(rubbish photo) But, this top was £3.99 in H&M and it's gorgeous. I usually wear it with a bodycon skirt, and it's just long enough so that it shows a little 'midriff' but not too much. :) It also comes in white and blue I think.
Barry M Bold Black Waterproof eyeliner. This is £3.99, and it's the closest thing I can find to Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in zero. I love the U/D Eyeliners, but they're expensive and really hard to get hold of where I live. This one lasts most of the day, not quite as long as the U/D ones, but at £3.99 you can't complain. It also has a very similar texture and consistency to the U/D ones, they're very creamy and unfortunately run out rather quickly!
I've never tried Miss Sporty nail polishes, until the other day. I was in Superdrug, and I'd been wanted to get a Rimmel nail polish in 'Disco Ball' for ages, when I noticed that Miss Sporty did the exact same polish for a pound cheaper (the glittery one in the middle). And, there was a deal on, 2 for £2.99, so I also got the blue colour. I have to say I'm very impressed, for the price, the colour is opaque first application, and it lasts a reasonably long time. My mum saw the glittery one and wanted one of her own, so I took advantage of the 2 for £2.99 deal and bought her a glittery one, and got the 'Disco tech' one for myself, which apparently glows under UV light. That will be interesting when I go out! Overall, I've very impressed and will definately be buying more colours in the Miss Sporty range.
My nails at the moment, I'm wearing the blue clubbing colours nail polish (not entirely sure of the name) with several coats of the glitter polish on the top. I've had several compliments for my nails which I love. :)

And as always, I've been using the amazing Cocoa butter formula. I. Love. This. My elbows are so SOFT.

Thanks for reading! This evening I am in the process of dip-dying my hair, which is quite exciting, not too sure how it's going to turn out. I will most probably do a blog post on it once it's finished!
Have a lovely week, hopefully the sunshine comes out soon in the UK! I'm sad with the rain! :(
Thanks again for reading
