MUA Nail Constellations Review

Heey!
I'd been so excited for these to come out, they are a dupe for the Ciate Nail Caviar kits, but they cost a fraction of the price! It took ages for either of my local Superdrugs to get them in, I was checking literally everyday for them!

They are the new MUA Nail Constellation beads, which are 'inspired by the constellations of stars in the sky'. They come in the above five colours, and I just think they are beautiful. They are £2.50 at the moment. The only colour that I managed to get was Libra, but I can't wait to get Leo, which looks amazing.
(apologies for the bad quality picture, the colours looked a lot more vibrant in real life)
Pros
It was pretty easy to do, you just need to do one nail at a time, you paint your nail with your chosen polish (I used a lilac Miss Sporty one) and then whilst it's still wet you sprinkle the beads from the applicator onto your nail until it is covered in the beads. You then gently press down on the beads to 'glue' them into the polish and let dry for a good 20 minutes.
I wasn't expecting these to last long at all, but with a topcoat they lasted about five days before temptation took over and I just HAD to pick the beads off. (I am absolutely terrible for picking my nail polish off without noticing, having these little beads was very tempting to pick off - I think five days was pretty good)
Cons
The applicator really annoyed me, as the end is so small so that it doesn't let too many beads out at once. But I found that to get any beads out I actually had to shake the bottle like a salt shaker to cover my nails, which made loads of beads go into my little bowl that I was doing my nails over. This is fine as it didn't waste any, it just annoyed me to have to shake the bottle.
Obviously having somethig foreign and 3D on my nails was wierd, but I did get used to them. The only thing that annoyed me was that the beads kept getting caught in my hair. But this is obviously unavoidable.

Overall, these are awesome, I got lots of complements on my nails and I couldn't stop admiring my nails. £2.50 is an amazing price too and they lasted a good long while.

Thanks for reading!

Dream Nail Combo!

Hello there!
It's been a little while, to tell you the truth I haven't really been that busy, although I do have a new job at H&M (did I write about that already?) so I'm having lots of fun working there on Saturdays. Although it's all day, 9-6 and I hate getting up so early, but I'll soon get used to that. I've realized that I've spent most of the summer watching The Big Bang Theory, shopping and occasionally going out with my friends. It's been okay though, I don't know how the last two months have gone by so quickly! I go back to college next week, something which I am actually looking forward to. I'm just going to like having a routine again, and of course, every day I'm getting closer to turning 18. EEEP.
Anyway, I've bought a few new nail polishes this summer, and I bought this new nail polish today:

It's the new Louise Gray for Topshop nail polish in Junkyard, and it was £6.50 (£5.85 with student discount, yaaay) I've been lusting after this since... well the other day when I saw it in Topshop. I am having a major thing about glitter nail polishes at the moment and this is just a dream. It is kind of like the regular Topshop glitter polishes (like Razzmatazz and Ice Crush) but obviously it's a bright blue colour, and I think it has more of the chunky holographic glitter pieces in it, which I LOVE.
So I bought this today and when I got home I wanted to test it out and see how concentrated the glitter in it was, so I just bunged it on top of the polish I was already wearing:
Which was model's own in Indian Ocean. This nail polish is fairly new, and it's just the most beautiful colour ever, and Indian Ocean is a perfect name for it. It's kind of a pinky-blue colour with a shimmer. I love love LOVE this polish. Anyway, so I put the Topshop polish on top and it turned out like this:
I think it's absolutely gorgeous. And it looks way better in real life that in this picture. :)
Anyway, I just thought I'd blog about these beautiful polishes. There is also a pink glitter polish in Topshop, which I think I may have to buy too. It's a good job that's is payday soon!
Thankyou fo reading, please comment if you own any of the Topshop polishes?

Boots Botanics Review

Hey!
So Boots have recently given their Botanics range a makeover. The packaging has all changed, and a whole host of new products have emerged. Boots Botanics is a brand that is focused on using natural organic ingredients in skincare products. In fact, the products are developed with Kew Royal Botanic Gardens.
So, Boots have introduced all of these new products as lower introductory prices, so I thought I'd buy a few bits to try out whilst they're still on offer.
I bought the Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm, Rosewater Toning Spritz and the All Bright Hydrating Day Cream.
The Rosewater Toning Spritz was £3.33, and will be £4.99 after the offer. This toner claims to 'Enliven your senses and refresh your skin'. The only other toners I've really used is Tea Tree water from Lush, which is in a similar spray bottle. I've been using this a lot, after cleansing and I am really enjoying it. It does feel lovely on your skin and you get 150ml, which for the price you pay is amazing.
The Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm was the product I was most excited to try as I've never used a hot cloth cleanser. This was out of stock in several Boots stores that I've been into, and when I picked this one up it was the last one, so I can tell it's pretty popular. The packaging says that the product 'draws out impurities and cleanses and smoothes'. I love this. I've been using it morning and evening since I bought it, after using a clearasil face wash to get my skin extra clean. It smells natural, and it has a vaseline-type consistency, and after I've massaged it over my face it looks like I have just smeared petroleum jelly over my face, but it feels lovely on the skin. The packaging says to soak the muslin cloth (which is provided in the box) in hot/warm water and use it as a warm compress over the face to draw out impurities. I do this several times and then polish the remaining balm off with the cloth. The box also says to then soak the cloth in cold water and put it over your face to close your pores, but I like to skip this step and just spritz on the Rosewater toner instead. I love this product, every time I use it I feel like I'm giving myself a mini-facial and my skin feels lovely after using it. This is £5.99 at the moment, and will be priced at £8.99, so if I were you I'd go and buy whilst it's still so cheap! :)

This day cream claims to hydrate the skin for 24hours. It has SPF of 15 in it, which is great, as I never ever buy a day cream/moisturiser unless it has SPF in it. It has brighening Hibiscus flower, which is brightening on the skin as it has naturally occuring AHA's in it which act as gentle exfoliators to smooth and brighten the skin. I have used this twice now and I like it. The cream is a pinky colour, and it smells nice, I don't know if that's the Hibiscus flower in it. I can't say I've noticed a massive difference on the skin brightening, but I do think that it is very good for keeping my skin hydrated, as my skin doesn't feel nearly as dry as it usually does hours after using moisturiser. This is £3.33 at the moment, and will be £4.99. There is also a matching Night cream too, which I think I may buy as I do like this cream.

Thankyou for reading!

August Wishlist

Hello!
So I have brilliant news, I got a job! I am now a sales assistant at H&M, and I am so excited, after having no job for over a month, it'll be really nice to get used to working again. And hopefully, some of the items on my wishlists will become possessions! Haha, anyway, here it is:
1. Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb EDP £65. I smelt this today and it is simply gorgeous! Expensive but gorgeous. I love the bottle too.
2. Clinique Chubby Sticks £16 These are so cute and they come in amazing colours. Revlon has a dupe for these, their 'Just Bitten lip balm stains' but you get barely any product in the Revlon ones and it seems to me as if Revlon have just completely ripped off Clinique on this product, as the packaging is practically the same.
3. Skirt £7.99 H&M I love bodycon skirts and this one is so cute! I love the bird print. I think when I start working at H&M, most of my wages will go on their clothes!
4. Topshop Blush in Flush £6 I've been after this blush for ages, but when I went into my local Topshop today they didn't have this particular colour. :( The packaging is super cute and I am really keen to try a cream blush.
5. Models Own nail polish in Beetlejuice £5 I have a few of the Models Own polishes and they are beautiful. I love this colour!
6. Cherry Creepers £25 Boohoo.com I've been wanting some creepers for ages but they are so expensive, these are lovely, I love the colour too, and the price is amazing. I think I'll have to buy these ASAP.
7. Lightening Bolt £3.50 New Look   Just because it's cool. :)

What's on your wishlist?
Thankyou so much for reading!

Maybelline Goodies!

Hi! Sorry it's been like a month since I posted... :/
So, Maybelline is 3 for 2 in Superdrug and Boots at the moment, so I saw this as a great chance to try the colour tattoo cream eyeshadows I've heard SO many good things about! This is what I got:
So I got the Dream Fresh BB cream in light, the Colour Tattoo in Turquoise Forever, and the Colour Sensational Lip Tint Pen in Wink of Pink.

I have used the BB cream and I think that as BB creams go, it's pretty standard. It has SPF of 30 which is brill, and it's got the highest SPF of all of my BB creams. The coverage is okay, and it feels good on my skin. As it only comes in three shades, the colour is a little dark for my skin but that's not a massive problem when I have tan on. Overall, an okay BB cream, nothing to write home about.
This is the first lip tint I've used and I am not impressed. I don't know if I just bought a bad pen or if it had been opened or used or dried up, but the colour payoff is terrible and I feel like I have to literally colour in my lips vigourously to get any colour. It does last a while once it's on my lips, but I am very disappointed with this product.

To end this post on a high note, I LOVE this product. I have used this several times since I got it and the colour is amazing, and it does last for ages. I defiantely want to get more of these, I have my eye on the purple one.

Thankyou for reading! Please comment below, do you own any of these products?

Preeetty Nails!

I've been going a bit crazy buying Miss Sporty nail polishes, as I'm very impressed with them, they last a reasonable time for their price, they usually only need one coat and their colour range is pretty and the price is amazing! And, as they are on offer for 2 for £3, (usually £1.99 each) in Boots and Superdrug, I've been taking advantage of it!

Above are two colours I recently bought, in China Glaze (L) and and Blue Bath (R)

I've also been really into glitter at the moment, from eyeliner to nail polish, and I saw this gorgeous nail polish in Topshop and I had to have it...
IT'S SO PRETTY. It's got larger holographic foily bits in it, and it's just gorgeous. I've never actually bought any nail polishes from Topshop before, but I am very impressed with their colours so I will probably be purchasing more from them. (This one is called 'Ice Crush')

So, these are the nails I came up with using my new polishes:
I love them. I used the Miss Sporty 'China Glaze' colour with the Topshop 'Ice Crush' glitter on top. My nail ring is new too, from the Topshop sale for £2.50. It feels a bit strange having a ring there, but I love the way it looks.

Thankyou for reading, I have sooo much free time now that I've quit my job and finished College, so I'll try to post more.

Recent Purchases

Hello lovelies! Sorry it's been a while since I last posted, been busy with exams, but they are all over now!
So, what's new is I quit my job, so soon I'm going to be very skint. So even though it's probably not sensible at all, I've been spending a little bit recently, more than usual anyway! Here are just a few of my recent purchases!
This I am extra excited about. A few weeks ago I was waiting for a friend and had some time to kill, so I went into Debenhams and had a test of some of the perfumes. I remember really liking this one. Today when I was browsing the shops, I popped into the Perfume Shop and had a look in the 'bargain box', and I was so excited to see this in there for £9.99. It's the Cacharel 'Scarlett' perfume, a 50ml bottle, which is amazing for the price. It smells lovely, quite floral and sweet, and I love the art deco style bottle.

This skirt is another of my favorite bargains. I love love LOVE bodycon skirts, and primark has had some really lovely ones, (I recently realised that I own every pattern and colour that primark sell...) And I saw this one was reduced to £2. I love the pattern on it!
(rubbish photo) But, this top was £3.99 in H&M and it's gorgeous. I usually wear it with a bodycon skirt, and it's just long enough so that it shows a little 'midriff' but not too much. :) It also comes in white and blue I think.
Barry M Bold Black Waterproof eyeliner. This is £3.99, and it's the closest thing I can find to Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in zero. I love the U/D Eyeliners, but they're expensive and really hard to get hold of where I live. This one lasts most of the day, not quite as long as the U/D ones, but at £3.99 you can't complain. It also has a very similar texture and consistency to the U/D ones, they're very creamy and unfortunately run out rather quickly!
I've never tried Miss Sporty nail polishes, until the other day. I was in Superdrug, and I'd been wanted to get a Rimmel nail polish in 'Disco Ball' for ages, when I noticed that Miss Sporty did the exact same polish for a pound cheaper (the glittery one in the middle). And, there was a deal on, 2 for £2.99, so I also got the blue colour. I have to say I'm very impressed, for the price, the colour is opaque first application, and it lasts a reasonably long time. My mum saw the glittery one and wanted one of her own, so I took advantage of the 2 for £2.99 deal and bought her a glittery one, and got the 'Disco tech' one for myself, which apparently glows under UV light. That will be interesting when I go out! Overall, I've very impressed and will definately be buying more colours in the Miss Sporty range.
My nails at the moment, I'm wearing the blue clubbing colours nail polish (not entirely sure of the name) with several coats of the glitter polish on the top. I've had several compliments for my nails which I love. :)

And as always, I've been using the amazing Cocoa butter formula. I. Love. This. My elbows are so SOFT.

Thanks for reading! This evening I am in the process of dip-dying my hair, which is quite exciting, not too sure how it's going to turn out. I will most probably do a blog post on it once it's finished!
Have a lovely week, hopefully the sunshine comes out soon in the UK! I'm sad with the rain! :(
Thanks again for reading

May Wishlist!

The items I've been drooling over this month:

1. Topshop shorts: £35  These are a little out of my price range but they are oh-so-perfect.
2. H&M Blouse: £7.99  Perfect for summer, floaty and simple.
3. Clinique Moisture Surge: £30 I got a sample size of this free with Cosmo recently, and I love it! It's really light and fresh but still leaves my skin feeling moisturised.
4. Topshop Necklace: £16.99   I. Need. This.
5. Britney Spears Fantasy EDP: Around £20. This is my all time favourite perfume, it's so gorgeously sweet. I ran out of my last bottle ages ago and I miss using it.
6. Toms: £40  These are so cute and when you buy a pair for yourself, it also gives a child in Africa a pair of shoes too.
7. Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation: £26.50   This is supposed to be really good and I really want to try it. As always with any benefit product, the packaging is really cute too.

So I finished my exams today, can't wait for summer to begin. I'm going to be upping my hours at work so that I can afford to buy some of these lovely things!
Thanks for reading!

Saturday 12 May 2012

I have a serious problem. I'm actually addicted to magazines.
I'm not even just saying that, I think it might be a slight problem. I cannot physically go into a shop with money, look at the magazine stands and NOT buy one. Usually, by the end of the week when I look at the magazine stands I find that I own most of the women's ones.
I ALWAYS buy Cosmo, Glamour and Company
I buy Heat at least once a month. I also usually but more!, reveal and closer once a month too. That adds up to like £20 a month...
Anyway, onto what I was actually going to talk about. Glamour Mag. I love love LOVE the free gifts that they occasionally give away with the magazine. I remember a few years ago when Glamour gave away three different Benefit pencils, and I got my mum to drive me to all the places that sold magazines within like ten miles, because Glamour was sold out everywhere, and I wanted to get every Benefit pencil. And I did, luckily!
So, I'm sure you can imagine my excitement when reading Glamour today, when I found out that next months Glamour will come with three free Benefit products....
One of them is something I've wanted for ages. It was in my wishlist a while ago.
The Porefessional! They're giving away a half-size tube of porefessional with Glamour! I am so excited to buy this! You can also get the BadGal mascara and 'That Gal' primer! Looks like I'm going to be running from shop to shop trying to collect all three! Haha!
Anyway, next month's Glamour is out on May 31st!
Thankyou Glamour, I love you.

April Favourites!

Hello lovely people!
I know this is a tad late, but hey ho, I thought I'd do an April favourites post, as I am doing just about everything I can to avoid doing any dreaded revision!
So, here they are!

ELF Studio blush in Mellow Mauve. I've never really been one for blush, I've just never understood it. I went through a phase when I was younger where I wanted to be very pale, so pale that I looked ill, and blush just seemed stupid to me. But I thought I'd try a blush now I'm older, and I really like this, the packaging is cute and it has a handy mirror. It's a nice subtle pinky colour.

ELF Studio Powder Brush - Everyone on youtube, from beautycrush to uglyfaceofbeauty have been raving about this brush, it's affordable, and I got it because I thought it would be like a stippling brush. I LOVE THIS. It's really dense and distributes product well. It's so multi-purpose too, I've been using it to buff foundation, contour and for blush if I've got no other brushes with me. At £3.50, it's a bargain too!
Neutrogena Multi-defence moisturiser, SPF 15. I've had my eye on this for AGES, but being skint and everything, I couldn't justify spending the £8 that it costs in Boots on this teeny bottle when I have plenty of other great moisturisers at home. But, since I got a new job (at Savers Health nd Beauty) I realised that we sell it for £3.99! It's really good, just a nice light moisturiser and I feel really good knowing it's protecting my skin against the sun, wind, pollution and everything else. Also, I carry this around with me all the time, which is why there's a signature on the bottle, it's so my boss knows I haven't nicked it from where I work! :P

St. Moriz self tanning mousse - Up until this year I was a fake tan virgin. I had dabbled with the occasional Johnsons Holiday skin type gradual tanner, which I could not stand the smell of! As I mentioned earlier, I'd always wanted to be pale, but this year I decided to try this. I've seen lots of Youtubers rave about this Tanning mousse, it's supposed to be very much like the St. Tropez tanning mousse, which at £40 I don't think I'll be trying very soon...
Overall, it's good. It doesn't smell bad, it doesn't look orange and provided you exfoliate, moistrise and use a mitt, the results are good, (although I am still struggling with my knees!) And at £2.99 you can't complain. This was bought from Savers also.

Palmers Cocoa Butter  - Oh My. I wish I'd used this sooner. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this baby has changed my life. It's so moisturising, and it smells INSANELY delicious. I bought this from Savers again, It's a 250ml bottle and it was £2.99 which is about a pound cheaper than Boots! I love this so much, I even bought a teensy little travel bottle to carry around with me all the time.

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula lip balm - Well I had to get this didn't I? It smells great, and it's super moisturising. And it's got SPF 15 , which is a massive pro for me because I'm really wary of the effects of the sun on my skin and lips. I love this.

Anyway, that's it, thankyou very much for reading!

1. moto denim shorts (Topshop) - £35  I cannot wait until summer and I LOVE these shorts
2. Benefit POREfessional - £23.50 I've had my eye on this forever, but I don't think I could justify spending this much on a primer. :(

4. Denim Playsuit (Topshop) £35  This is so cute!

Product Rave - Natural Collection

Natural Collection moisture shine lipsticks have become a bit of a staple product for me recently. I got paid yesterday, but this month instead of splurging like I did last month, I was sensible and got some cheaper (but still lovely) goodies, including three of these lipsticks. Natural Collection have an offer on at the moment, 3 for £5, so I got three! There's also a deal where if you spend £5 or over you get a £5 No7 voucher, so I got that too, which was nice. So, these lipsticks are usually £1.99 each.
They're definitely not the most professional, amazing lipsticks, but they're moisturizing, creamy and come in lovely colors. When applied properly, using a lip liner and/or sealing, these lipsticks could last a lot longer than when used alone. The good thing about these is they're versatile, you could add a subtle wash of color, or go all out. I love them!

I got colors, Sweet Pea, Biscuit and Berry Sorbet

Swatches in the same order as above. You can see they have a shiny finish.
Anyway, thanks for reading, sorry I haven't updated in a while, been having a busy time at home recently, moving around a lot.
Please comment what you think, and if you've tried these lipsticks!

My GlossyBox Arrived!

So it arrived, delivery was much faster than I thought that it would be. This is my first beautybox of any kind, and I was very excited. It was so well packaged, looked so professional, and I felt really special having it sent to me, with all the lovely products inside!
Look at it! It's pink and pretty!
Inside, with a lovely little valentines message from GlossyBox.
Oooh so exciting! I got, from left to right: Murad skin perfecting primer, Davine cleansing nectar, Davine moisturizing balm, Eyeko skinny eyeliner in powder pink and FAB body wash. It also came with a little GlossyBox stick-of-rock candy piece, which was really cute and yummy!
,Murad
So far, I've been using the primer most days, it was coloured just like foundation which really surprised me, but it has a much thinner feel than foundation. It goes on skin fine, and it doesn't look dark on my pale skin. Not really noticed a massive difference in redness, pore size etc but will update any changes.

I haven't used either of the Davine's stuff yet as I've been staying at my Boyfriends all week for valentines and I didn't bring them with me, but I am excited to try the moisturizing balm especially.
Eyeko
I was a little disappointed to get the skinny eyeliner in powder pink, as I already have Benefit Eyebright, which is very similar to the colour of the Eyeko pencil and a little better if I'm honest. I've heard a lot of negative stuff about Eyeko doubling their prices and changing their packaging. I used to be a fan of their old style nail polishes, which aren't available anymore. Not all that impressed with the eyeliner, it has a long handle which will be handy if I get to use the pencil down to the last tiny nub, but to be honest I don't really think I'll be using it much. Would have loved to recieve a much brighter colour, but was still quite exciting to try something new.
I haven't actually used the FAB body wash either, but I love the packaging and am excited to try it out once I get back home.
Anyway, thanks for reading, let me know what you guys thought of your GlossyBox's or any other beauty boxes.

LOOK WHAT I GOT!!

I was in Boots about a week ago, getting a few bits and bobs, mainly hairdye in attempts to save the disaster that is my hair colour. (I'll do a post about it sooon) I was casually walking past the eyelashes when something caught my eye. The Katy Perry lashes! I was a little bit excited, as they were in shops sooner than I'd read they were going to be. They only had two of the styles, and I bought 'Sweetie Pie', because I liked them the best.

Look how pretty they are! I think they were £5.95, which isn't the cheapest of lashes, but not completely unreasonable. I thought it was also quite sweet when I found a little 'Sweetie Pie' sticker inside the box. I don't really know where I'm going to put it, but it's a nice touch.
They look lovely on, and quite natural looking, which I like!
They just look lovely and even and frame my eyes nicely.

These would be fine for wearing everyday, or at night.
Now all I need to decide is which I'm going to get next...
Thanks for reading, please comment what you thought of them!
